What actually matters on this bike
The drivetrain
Shimano Deore 1×12. A single chainring with a wide-range cassette: fewer parts to go wrong, no front shifting to mistime, and a bottom gear low enough for steep loose climbs.
The frame
Butted A1 alloy. Alloy takes knocks better than carbon and costs less to replace. The weight penalty over carbon is real but small.

Questions about buying a bike from us
How assembled does it arrive?
Around 90% built. The front wheel, handlebars, pedals and seatpost need fitting, which takes most people about twenty minutes with the tools in the box. Gears and brakes are set up before it leaves us.
Can I return it if it is the wrong size?
Yes, unridden, within 30 days. Once a bike has been ridden outdoors it is a used bike and we can only take it back if something is wrong with it. Send us your height and inside leg first and we will confirm the frame size in writing — that is free and it takes an hour.
What warranty does the frame carry?
The manufacturer’s own, registered to you at no cost when the bike ships. Terms differ between Specialized and Cube and between frame materials, so we will not summarise them into one number here; ask and we will send the exact terms for this model.
Can I pay by finance or Cycle to Work?
No. Neither is available here. If that is how you were planning to buy, buy elsewhere — we would rather tell you now.
Can I test ride one first?
Not with us — we are online only with no demo fleet. Specialized and Cube dealers run demo days; the size you settle on there is the one we will supply.
Do I need to run it in?
New cables and spokes bed in over the first few rides, so gears can drift slightly out of tune in the first month. Any bike shop will re-index them in a few minutes. It is normal on every new bike, not a fault.
Kit it out
Bikepacking luggage straps to the frame, so it works on a bike with no rack mounts — which is most of these.
