Questions worth asking before you buy

What does the comfort limit actually mean?

It is the temperature at which a standard sleeper should remain comfortable. It is a laboratory figure and people differ enormously — cold sleepers should assume several degrees less than the label.

Down or synthetic?

Down gives more warmth per gram and packs smaller; it stops insulating when wet and costs more. Synthetic keeps working damp and costs less, at the price of bulk. For British three-season use, synthetic is the safer default.

Why is there no weight figure?

Because Alpkit does not publish one for these bags. We would rather leave the row out than estimate it. Ask us and we will weigh the question up with you.

Some published figures for this product could not be confirmed against the manufacturer and are left out rather than guessed. Ask us and we will check before you order.

Not certain this is the right one?

Not sure which one? Our finders narrow the range down to what actually fits what you are doing.
