These terms apply to every order placed through northwild.co.uk. Nothing here removes or limits your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
1. This site is a school project
Northwild is coursework, not a trading business. The products and prices are real and were taken from live UK retailers, but the checkout runs in test mode: no order will be dispatched, and no payment will be taken. Please do not send money.
2. Prices and VAT
All prices include VAT at 20%, and the checkout itemises the VAT so you can see exactly what it is. Prices can change without notice, but the price you see at checkout is the price for that order.
3. Delivery
Delivery to UK mainland addresses is free with no minimum spend. The Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland carry a flat surcharge shown at checkout. Bikes and electric bikes travel on a specialist courier and arrive around 90% assembled. Full detail is on Delivery & Returns.
4. Cancellation and returns
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you may cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods. We extend this to 30 days voluntarily. In both cases the period runs from the day the goods arrive, not the day you ordered.
Goods must be unused and in a condition we could sell again. Clothing may be tried on indoors, as you would in a shop; once worn outside it cannot be returned. A bike may be returned unridden; once ridden outdoors it is a used bike and can only be returned if it is faulty.
5. Faulty goods
If goods are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Tell us and we will cover return postage.
6. Specifications
We publish only figures the manufacturer states. Where a figure is not published we leave it out rather than estimate it, so some specification tables here are shorter than you may expect elsewhere. Where a specification matters to your decision, ask us before ordering and we will confirm it in writing.
7. Electric bikes
Every electric bike we list is an EAPC under UK law: assistance is limited to 15.5mph and 250W continuous power. No licence, registration, insurance or tax is required, and riders must be 14 or over. Modifying an e-bike beyond those limits makes it a motor vehicle in law and is your responsibility, not ours.
